R&D Engineer (Process)

Radici Plastics (Suzhou) Co. Ltd. is the Chineese Company of the High-Performance Polymers Business Area, one of the world’s leading producers of engineering plastics and a network of production and sales sites located throughout Europe, North America, South America and Asia.

Now we are hiring a R&D Engineer (Process) who will manage R&D Process work, like the day-to-day production activity of pilot compounding line and others. This position will report to R&D Manager directly. 

REQUIREMENTS  职位要求

• Education and Working Experience: background in polymers engineering, materials engineering or process engineering. Bachelor degree (or above) with at least 2 years working experience.
• Rich knowledge and experience in thermoplastic material.
• Demonstrated experience in operating twin screw extruder, process DOE and optimization.
• Familiar with screw design, process simulation software (Ludovic or similar).
• Management experience is preferred.
• Active, independent, open minded and willing to learn, to develop solutions and to push forward new ideas.
• Hands-on mentality;
• Willingness to support business through improvement and innovation;
• Ability to work both indipendently and as part of a team;
• Language: mandatory good written English.

RESPONSIBILITIES职位职责

As part of the innovation process, you will:

• Manage the day-to-day production activity of pilot compounding line.
• Perform DOE and optimize the process condition for existing and new products.
• Troubling shooting for process related issue from production.
• Coordinate with global process team for process optimization works.
• Plan and implement the maintenance, calibration activities to ensure all pilot compounding equipment are always well calibrated and in good working conditions;
• Draft and revise operation instructions for existing and new equipment.
• Support the internal training and knowledge transfer;
• Support the implementation and enforcement of all departmental procedures and guidelines (including HQ guidelines), standards of performance, international industry and measuring standards and national safety and environmental regulations (including but not limited to UL and IATF16949 standards);
• Operate all relevant softwares: including but not limited to SAP system, Prolab software (Lab management software), Ludovic (Process simulation software);
• Support open and effective inter-departmental communication and external communication with representatives of customers, suppliers and external laboratories (including the labs of other RADICI Plastics plants) in both Chinese and English;
• Carry out any other task assigned by supoviser.
