Production Manager

Radici Plastics Ltda is the Brazilian Company of the High-Performance Polymers Business Area, one of the world’s leading producers of engineering plastics and a network of production and sales sites located throughout Europe, North America, South America and Asia.

The Production Manager of Radici Plastics Ltsa will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling all stages of the production process, ensuring operational efficiency, quality, safety, and adherence to deadlines. The candidate will have to lead the teams and promote continuous improvement.

The candidate will report directly to the Industrial Manager of Radici Plastics Ltda.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate production activities across all three shifts, ensuring achievement of production, quality, and safety targets.
• Ensure continuous and efficient operations by monitoring shift handovers to guarantee team alignment.
• Collaborate with the HSE department to implement safety tools and procedures (PPE, training, work permits, etc.).
• Preparation and updating of Production reports and the KPI (i.e. OEE) for production processes;
• Plan and ensure the execution of production schedules provided by the Production Planning and Control (PPC) department, according to established goals and deadlines agreed with commercial and logistics areas.
• Monitor performance indicators (KPIs), such as efficiency, OEE, scrap rate, setup time, productivity, among others, promoting continuous improvement actions.
• Lead and develop operational and support teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
• Ensure the implementation and maintenance of quality tools such as APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, and 5S.
• Work closely with the quality, maintenance, and PPC departments to ensure integration and smooth flow of industrial processes.
• Participate in the area’s budget management, controlling operational costs and promoting efficient use of resources along with the industrial manager.
• Maintain production process safety and compliance, ensuring adherence to all regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Production Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
• Intermediate or advanced English.
• Basic knowledge of SAP ERP systems (PP and MM modules).

Experience:

• Solid experience as a production leader or manager in polymer processing or compounding industries.
• Hands-on experience in managing industrial processes and production capacity.
• Proven experience in team management and application of quality methodologies (APQP, FMEA, 5S, Lean, Kaizen).
• Proficiency in tracking and analyzing production performance indicators.
• Strong knowledge of certifications such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Basic knowledge of industrial costs, budgeting, and waste analysis.
