Mission and Role

  • Maintenance Manager is required to ensure optimal condition of the Plant, by managing the Maintenance department in its task of maximizing the availability of the production facilities and improving reliability at minimum costs.
  • The individual will be responsible for leading maintenance systems, define and work on the improvement areas and ensure that project objectives are met within agreed budget and timing according to agreed quality standards. 
  • He/ she would be required to ensure maintenance activities are safe, in compliance with local legislations and Radici group HSE requirements and ensure optimum design of mechanical & Electrical equipment’s during detail Engineering and procurement.

  1. Environment, Health and Safety- To comply with Radici Safety Policy and EHS requirements and Indian legislations

2. . Ensure a safe working environment - 

  • Prepared preventive maintenance schedule and do the preventive maintenance as per the schedule, also maintain the record for the same.
  • To attend breakdown as information given from the plant, and take appropriate action on same
  • Maintain Machinery record sheet
  • Inform the plant operator and head if any major problem is observed in the machinery.•
  • Handover equipment in safe condition after attending the breakdown and preventive maintenance
  • Take corrective action before shutdown.
  • Maintain the healthy condition of equipment’s.
  • Maintain the records if any parts are replaced in the machinery.
  • Preparing, checking, and reviewing environmental aspect impact and HIRA of maintenance area
  • Ensuring maintenance people shall work with PPE’s

3. Plant Maintenance Plan -

  • HSE & Security: To respect and comply with all company and site specific HSE requirements and Indian legislations.
  • To comply with Company’s policy on Quality and implement Quality Management System, and Report to management on any non-compliance cases observed,
  • Accountable for the continuous improvement of Quality Performance.
  • Define a Plant Maintenance Plan, setting priorities for the department, Key Performance Indicators, and targets, and taking into account production constraints, in dialogue with production management.
  • Do Spares analysis as per maintenance requirements and ensure availability of spares in maintenance store.
  • To be Responsible for reviewing maintenance job estimates for completeness; for checking the estimates still meets the hurdle criteria and be responsible for approving for scheduling.
  • Prepare annual budget about maintenance and repair, consistent with the Plant Maintenance Plan, and after approval manage the budget and control expenses.
  • Execute the Plant Maintenance Plan in conformity with the agreed budget and in compliance with SHE and Quality requirements, Work processes, and evaluate the Maintenance Plan regularly.
  • Regularly report to Manufacturing head on Maintenance Department performance mainly regarding SHE, MTTR & MTBF, machine availability, cost control, other departmental KPI
  • Support the Management and Production departments to optimize and modify installation, have good communication with them and fully understand their needs, regularly participate in the meetings hold by both departments.
  • Manage the Maintenance Department, ensuring adequate structure and systems, creating an optimal working climate, in compliance with HR values and requirements.
  • Analyses equipment performance using root cause analysis and/or other superior performance analysis and advise Plant Management about timely replacement of equipment
  • Propose improvement projects to improve the reliability of the plant and implement after approval.
  • Select contractors for maintenance jobs, provide guidance and control and evaluate their performance, both for technical aspects and for HSE and Quality aspects. Timely inform them of new requirements and give them feedback of performance.
  • Set up program of job skill training to ensure training efficiency. Direct, delegate and coach and motivate subordinators, be more supportive to help them gain valuable experience
  • Develop subordinator abilities and bring their potential into full play such as execution coordinator, planner, engineer etc. Regularly review reports from subordinators, train them to be capable of and be confident in dealing with various kinds of problems.
